This article provides a step-by-step guide to using the Linguist Portal.
Step 1: As a Linguist, when you are first provided with a Memsource account, you will receive an email that contains your username and a link to generate a password. Use these credentials to log into your Linguist account from memsource.com.
Step 2: Once you have logged in your will see a page similar to the one below:
The navigation panel in the Memsource Linguist account is split into three different sections based on job statuses: New, Accepted and Completed.
- The New tab contains new assignments that haven’t yet been accepted or declined.
- The Accepted tab contains assignments you have accepted and are currently working on.
- The Completed tab contains all previously completed assignments. Once completed, you can no longer open or edit them.
Step 3: Open the project that you have been assigned to. You will see an overview of all the resources available, including jobs for translation, analyses, including the word count, translation memories and term bases, and references. If a job includes a deadline, it is automatically adjusted based on the timezone specified in your account settings.
Step 4: You also have the option of managing your personal settings and changing your password in your profile page. To change the settings, click on Setup in the top right-hand corner of Memsource Cloud.
