Search strings case insensitive?

Andreas Wettergren Sep 12, 2017 01:15PM CEST

Hi,
I was just wondering if search/filter strings in API calls are case sensitive?
For example, lets say I have two TMs in Memsource,
one is named "123456_@_SV_DA", the other is named "123456_@_sv_da-DK".

(Yes the naming is a bit silly, but humans are sometimes silly and do this sort of stuff :) )

If I call api/v4/transMemory/list with the parameter "name" set to "123456_@_SV_DA", I seem to get a result with both these TMs listed.
If the lookup was case sensitive I would expect only one of the TMS as a result. Am I right in assuming that all search strings are therefore case insensitive?

I couldn't find any info on this in the API documentation, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

Best regards

/Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Thank you for contacting us.
The search works exactly as on the UI, i.e. it is not case sensitive.
