Hits displayed in right hand column but source words not highlighted in translation pane

SafeTex Sep 09, 2017 10:19AM CEST

Hello

I often get hits displayed in the right hand column from what must be a second TB or TM (I'm not sure what it is). They are pink with the letter "S"

The problem is that the actual words in the translation pane (source) are not highlighted in this case, only hits from the primary TB or TM seem to cause such words to be highlighted.

Is there a way to get the words in the translation pane to be highlighted for these hits too?

Thanks

Hello,
the “S” hits you are referring to are subsegment matches – in other words 100% matches appearing in larger segments.
These are therefore more of a hint to show you some part of the segment in the translated document is an individual segment elsewhere in the document.
I am not entirely sure which highlights are you referring to, would you be able to provide a screenshot that would reference the difference?
Thank you.

Thanks Jakub

The highlights I'm talking about are simply highlighted words in the source segment (mine are in yellow) when there is a hit from the TB.

The subsegments are very useful but the corresponding words in the source segment are not highlighted.

I therefore miss them sometimes, not realising that there is a hit from subsegment matches for this word.

On a related note, and I know that MemSource is Memsource and not my usual CAT tool, when a word is highlighted in the source segment cos of a TB hit, I then have to search for it in the list on the right in order to be able to click the word in the CAT tab (or use the right shortcut CTRL + number) to be able to enter it into the target.

It would be nice if I could just click on the highlighted word in the source segment to be able to enter it thus avoiding all this extra searching.

Regards
