Deleting a project shared with me from the project list?

Martin Post Aug 23, 2017 12:52PM CEST

A client has shared multiple projects with me. I (probably) won’t be working on these anymore, so I asked them to remove me from these projects.

Now I just saw that I can select and delete these projects in my project list. I.e., the “Delete” button becomes active, although I am not the owner (there is no Edit / Delete button for me _in_ any of these projects).

What will happen if I delete such a shared project from the list? I obviously don’t want to physically delete client data, but it would be nice if I could clean up my projects list myself…

Thank you.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for contacting us.
Do you mean the delete button in the “jobs” section, i.e. vendor being able to delete jobs from shared projects?
I have to honestly say I have not realized this and I think it is actually a serious problem on our side :-)
I’ll share this with our product team. In the mean time, your client should just stop sharing these projects with you, please ask them to contact us if they find any problems doing this.
Thank you.

Hi Vaclav,

no – I meant _projects_ in the project list (not jobs) that I can select and delete, although they aren’t my own. But I have an idea what may have happened here. I’ll send you screenshots and URLs in a personal message.
