Very slow online editor with larger files (more than 2,000 words)

well, the title says it all... anything bigger than 2,000 words and the online editor slows down to a crawl... it's actually useless... and yes, I know I can use the desktop version... but its functionality are limited... there are no preview and no auto-complete... also, the "saving segments # # # has failed" message is now constant, even with Word files and 20 segments in it... what's the point in having a cloud editor if it's so buggy?

Hello Giovanni,

I’m sorry to hear you are having troubles with speed.
The Web Editor speed is limited by web browser and your internet connection speed. Jobs with very long segments or too many tags can have negative effect as well.
Generally we don’t have problems with jobs with 20 000 segments, 40 000 segments is a limit for Web Editor. I’ve just tested job with 6 000 segments and there no problems there.

BTW there is a Preview in Desktop Editor – please check the latest version.

well, I use Chrome and I get 75 MB download speed, so I don't think that's an issue... Some segments are long and there are some tags, but not many. Just finished a 5,000 word job and half way down it started crawling... and I get the same problem with my new, powerful laptop... maybe I'm unlucky! Thanks for point out the Preview feature in the desktop...

The problem with failing to confirm/save segments continues... just got this one... "Confirming the selected segments on the server has failed."

BTW, just checked the Preview in the Desktop Editor... well, I knew that one... what I meant was the real time preview (for compatible docs) like the one in the web editor... also, you keep promising auto-suggestion for the Desktop Editor, but it seems to be your last priority, to be frank... you seem to favour LSPs and PMs, forgetting that it's actually us translators who do the job... we need more tools which will speed up our productivity...

Please update your desktop Editor if you have an old version or check the Tools menu again – the real-time preview is there.
Available only for selected file formats – just like in the Web Editor.

This might not be your issue, but it can help somebody else when looking for 'slow' in memsource.

I experienced very slow saving/opening. The problem was - my browser (FF) was in the Sync mode...
